Refunds & Exchanges Policy

Thank you for shopping with Kusko Krafts. We want you to love your handmade items, and we strive to provide high-quality, Alaska-crafted goods. Because our products are often one-of-a-kind and made with natural materials, please read the policy below carefully.

1. All Sales Are Final for Certain Items

Due to the nature of our products, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Items made with ivory, bone, antler, baleen, fur, or other natural animal materials

  • Custom, personalized, or made-to-order items

  • Clearance or discounted items

  • Gift cards

2. Eligibility for Refunds or Exchanges

For eligible items, we accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of delivery.

 

To qualify:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition

  • Original packaging must be included when possible

  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

 

Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

 

3. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

 

Please provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the item and packaging

 

Depending on the situation, we will issue a replacement (if available) or a refund.

 

Note: Damage caused by USPS shipping delays or mishandling must be filed directly with USPS. We can help guide you through their claim process.

 

4. Shipping Costs
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases where we made an error.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or incorrect.

  • If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from the refund amount.

 

5. Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card provider to process the refund.

 

We’ll notify you once your refund has been processed.

 

6. Exchanges

Because many of our items are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, exchanges are subject to availability.

 

If you want a different item:

  • Complete a return for the original item (if eligible)

  • Place a new order for the replacement item

 

We cannot hold items for exchange without a confirmed order.

 

7. Non-Receipt or Incorrect Address Issues

If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the buyer is responsible for:

  • Re-shipping fees

  • Any associated costs

 

Refunds are not issued for items lost due to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

 

8. Legal Restrictions on Animal Material Items

For items made with ivory, bone, antler, baleen, or similar materials:

  • Returns are not accepted unless the item was defective

  • If an order cannot be delivered due to state-level legal restrictions, the item will be refunded minus shipping and payment processing fees

 

Customers are responsible for knowing the regulations in their state.
